With enhanced 4x4 capability plus powertrain options, the Jeep Compass is our most capable compact SUV to date. It features two driveline systems, Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low. These systems ensure seamless switching between 4x2 and 4x4, and intuitively engage to provide optimal traction whatever the terrain. This, combined with a choice of four diesel or two petrol engine / transmission combinations, and a pair of full-time 4x4 systems (on request), make the Jeep Compass an impressively innovative, responsive SUV.
Choose a setting that optimises your driving experience with the Selec-Terrain system. Adaptable to virtually any environment, it electronically co-ordinates as many as 12 systems, enhancing capability in even the most challenging landscapes, including snow, sand, mud and rock (Rock available on Trailhawk). The Jeep Compass Trailhawk, with unique bumper fascia and elevated ground clearance, plus best-in-class approach, break over and departure angles, offers even more capability on a variety of terrains.
For best-in-class 4x4 capability in all driving conditions, the Jeep Renegade boasts authentic Jeep DNA and offers you a choice of two innovative driveline systems: Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low.
JEEP® ACTIVE DRIVE
The Jeep Active Drive system is fully automatic and delivers seamless transition in and out of four-wheel drive, at any speed.
This system requires no driver intervention, delivers yaw correction during dynamic events and improves both understeer and oversteer conditions.
JEEP® ACTIVE DRIVE LOW
The Jeep Active Drive Low system builds on the Jeep Active Drive system and affords a 20:1 crawl ratio for genuine 4x4 capability.
This system adds Hill Descent Control to Selec-Terrain® and the Trailhawk® model features the "Rock" Selec-Terrain® function to maximise wheel traction and improve grip.
The Jeep Renegade 4xe is designed to rise to any challenge, no matter the terrain or conditions. It offers all of the benefits of a hybrid vehicle, without compromising the all-terrain safety of a traditional 4x4.
The Selec-Terrain® traction control system allows you to choose from five dynamic driving modes that guarantee the best performance in every situation; Auto, Snow and Sand/Mud modes, already found in the original Renegade and the 4xe models‘ new Sport mode. This new driving mode perfectly combines the responsiveness of the electric motor and combustion engine, which adjusts the steering, throttle and transmission, delivering a more immediate and dynamic driving style that's perfect for city driving.
